Introducing the Emergence Digital Deluxe package

We’re really happy to offer a new trifonic.com exclusive, in partnership with Topspin Media: the Emergence Digital Deluxe package.

The Digital Deluxe package includes:
* All the tracks from Emergence AND Remergence (320k mp3 or FLAC)
* Bonus track “Gutter Box”
* Scott Pagano’s video for “Parks On Fire” (high quality, 720p)
* Emergence and Remergence album art jpegs

All for $10. Right here.

Of course, you can still get our pay-what-you-want album downloads and other items from the Trifonic store too.

Parks On Fire – the official video!

As I mentioned previously, Scott Pagano created a wonderful video for our track Parks On Fire. And we’ve finally made it available for your online viewing pleasure.

You can watch the HD version on Vimeo via the embed/link below. And if you want a copy for your iPod or iPhone – or if your computer (like mine) is too slow to process the HD version – you can download it for free here.

Hope you enjoy!

New Remix page and multi-tracks for Remergence

We recently added a Remix page to trifonic.com where you can find multi-track stems – for free! – for both Emergence and Remergence.

A while back, we made the stems for Emergence available through ccMixter – you can still find them there.

For the Remergence EP stems, we decided to try MixMatchMusic’s Remix Wizard. (See below for an example.) Through the widgets we created, you can either download the stems or use MixMatch’s online MixMaker to make a remix, and then (if you want) upload your remix to our widget so we can check it out.

Happy remixing!

Emergence review on Rock Sellout

Music blog RockSellout.com just posted a nice review of Emergence.

My favorite quote: “The richly layered soundscapes that Trifonic have recorded might not be the right choice to play at your neighbor’s bar mitzvah, but they’re perfect to escape from the oxidation that the modern world has a tendency of depositing.”

I really love that image. We’ll gladly take anti-oxidation over bar mitzvahs any day!

Emergence, now available for remixing

I’m very happy to announce that individual source tracks from Emergence are now available for download on ccMixter. The source tracks include uncompressed instrumental stems and vocal a cappellas from our album — about 2GB worth of material in all.

The source audio is free to use and available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license.

We can’t wait to hear what you talented folks do with our stuff. I hope you’ll upload whatever you create to the ccMixter site — it’s a great place to share your work. You can register here if you’re not a member already. Either way, please send us links to wherever your creations live so we can see them!

Happy remixing. And a huge thank you to Victor, Teru, and spinmeister at ccMixter for coordinating this and helping us share these tracks. You guys rock.

Emergence on AmieStreet.com

We just uploaded Emergence to Amie Street. It’s a new-ish music site based on a pretty cool idea: track prices vary depending on how popular they are. All new songs start out free and rise in price as more people buy them, up to 98 cents.

So if you’re an Amie Street user or want to explore the site, check out our profile, link to us, download the album and help us climb the Amie Street charts!

Producer’s Commentary

If you haven’t heard, all purchases from the trifonic.com store (download or CD) include our bonus producer’s commentary, where we discuss the recording and production process for each track on Emergence.

Here’s a brief clip where Brian talks about the title track, “Emergence”:

Emergence liner notes

In case you haven’t noticed, we added a liner notes page to the site where you can see all the credits and info for Emergence. Make sure to check out the track details section for specifics on each song and the gear list to see what we used to make the album.

If you want to know more about the making of Emergence and our studio set-up, you might want to check out our producers commentary, which is included with all CD and download purchases from the Trifonic store!
